The Bunny Hop
Our biggest fundraiser is kicking off and the PTO needs your support. Our goal is to raise $10,000! On April 18th students will take part in the Bunny Hop event during the school day. The fun event will include obstacles and running laps. Leading up to this event students will fund raise to help hit this goal. This year Salem is partnering with FundHub, powered by Get Movin’ Crew. This online portal gives us an online partnership to expand beyond our own community and reach the world for donation support through online student fundraising web pages. This allows us to accept credit/debit card donations from all over the world, in addition to cash & checks more locally. Information has been sent home and emailed with instructions on how to register your child. Check out the various incentives your child can earn. Our top overall student fundraiser wins a (4) pack of Disney World tickets!!!

Fundraising Update
Hungry Howie's
February saw a bit of a come back raising $81. Mrs. Szymanski's families generated the most sales and earned their class a pizza party. Our March Hungry Howie's night was on the 27th the results still pending. Mark your calendars for April 24th for the next chance to win that pizza party.
Pura Vida Bracelet Sales
Thank you for making this a great fundraiser. We sold out of bracelets within a week and raised $150. By popular demand we have placed another order. Due to the custom making of these bracelets it takes 4-6 weeks for stock to arrive so please stay tuned when we have those available for sale again.
PTO Silent Auction
We hope that everyone had fun with the friendly competition of the PTO's first ever online Silent Auction. This auction was nearly zero dollars to put together, but amazingly raised $1,783, blowing away our initial goal of $1,000.Thank you to all who participated!
PTO Reading Night Raffle
The reading night raffle was also a huge success. This year we offered 70 raffle prizes and various baskets. Thanks to our incredible families who either donated items to the baskets, made the baskets or helped obtain donated items for us to raffle. Because of the collective efforts of everyone at Salem we raised over $2,200!

Assemblies
This month we have two exciting assemblies planned for Salem students. We have partnered with the Reading teachers for the annual author visit. This year we are welcoming Kelly DePucchio, author of "Dragon Was Terrible," on April 8th.
We are also welcoming Science Alive in April. Science Alive, the hands-on science education organization, has long established itself at the forefront of Michigan's educational resources. Through personalized, interactive school classroom presentations with live reptiles, amphibians, birds, and mammals, Science Alive brings the study of science to life for students kindergarten through junior high.
These two assemblies cost $2,800. Because of your generous donations we are able to provide these awesome experiences to our students that otherwise would not fit into a tight school budget.
